Boot Camp: The Ultimate Local Government Finance Toolkit in Action!
Boot Camp is designed for municipal and regional district finance professionals who are new to local government, are responsible for finance functions and aspire to be a statutory financial officer, or are in the statutory financial officer role and want a better grounding in the requirements and responsibilities of the position.
The program includes:
- A revised Boot Camp binder
- An increased focus on legislation
- Case-based group work
- A fully integrated Leadership Competency Framework
- 5 days of CPE, including ethics content
- Complimentary post-Boot Camp webinars to support ongoing learning
- Discounted conference and workshop registrations for one-year
This is a residential program held every summer at the University of Victoria. The fee includes four days of accommodation, all meals and refreshments as well as workshop materials. Participants are required to stay at the University of Victoria accommodations in order to gain the full benefits of the program.
