Every November we offer a variety of workshops that cover a wide breadth of programming relevant to local government finance professionals. Workshops take a best practice approach providing opportunity for attendees to network and share their experience.

BDO’s Mario Piroddi and Kelsey Walder will show you how to navigate the complex process of making sure your audit papers are in good working order, but also how to maintain a strong and collaborative relationship with your auditor.

Property Tax Policy & Rate Setting - REGISTER

As the primary source of income for local governments, an in depth understanding of property taxes and rate setting is crucial. Learn what to do and more importantly, what not to do through this intensive one-day session led by property tax guru, Doug Stein, and Janene Brierley-Green from the City of White Rock.

NOTE: A minimum of 15 attendees are required for each workshop to run. It is highly recommended that you register as early as possible to avoid workshops being cancelled due to lack of enrollment. Payment can be made by credit card or cheque. Credit cards will be automatically charged on September 30.

Requests to cancel registration will be accepted until noon on October 7, 2022. No refunds after October 7, 2022. Program attendance is transferable.
