GFOABC offers professional development workshops throughout the year designed to support local government finance professionals at every stage of their careers. Programs are delivered through in-person sessions and webinars, emphasizing best practices, regulatory updates, and peer collaboration.

All workshops are eligible for continuing professional development credits.

12-Month Taxation and Assessment Webinar

A monthly check-in on the taxation cycle, held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month throughout the year.

Annual Municipal Tax Sale (3-Part Webinar Series)

September 1, 15, and 29, 2026 — A three-part workshop on tax sale procedures and legal requirements.

Fall PD Program

November 24-25, 2026 — Vancouver. Two days of professional development sessions to close out the year.

Property Taxation 101 Completed

April 7, 14, and 21, 2026 — Virtual. A three-part webinar series to prepare finance professionals for the property tax collection cycle.

Pre-Conference Program Completed

May 25–26, 2026 — Kelowna. In-depth workshops held immediately before the Annual Conference.
