Call for Expressions of Interest for Committee Members

A key part of delivering value to members is the work undertaken by GFOABC committees. They provide leadership, advice, and support for programs and initiatives that strengthen professional practice and member engagement across the province.

Members may express interest in serving on one or more of the following committees: member services, education, and external relations.

GFOABC is seeking expressions of interest from members interested in serving on one of the Association's committees.

Why Serve on a Committee

Committee participation offers members an opportunity to:

  • Earn Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits
  • Expand professional networks across BC
  • Gain leadership and volunteer experience within GFOABC

Committees meet approximately four times per year, typically through virtual meetings, with additional work undertaken between meetings as required. Committee membership is reviewed periodically to maintain balanced representation.

Submission Requirements

Individuals wishing to be considered for committee service are invited to submit an Expression of Interest outlining:

  • Why you would like to serve on a GFOABC committee
  • Relevant experience or qualifications
  • Committee(s) of interest
  • A brief biography for committee consideration
