Volunteering is a great way to earn continuing professional development while supporting your association. See below for some of the ways that you can get involved.
Help co-facilitate workshops
Co-facilitators assist lead facilitators in providing relevant and practical perspectives on subject matter during the workshop session. This volunteer will be required spend the day in the workshop and to help faciliate discussions. They may also present a portion of the material. This is a great opportunity to practice your presentation skills.
Serve on a committee
We have three standing committees: Education, Communications and External Relations. The work of each committee is tied directly to our strategic plan and changes each year as we strive towards achieving our strategic goals. We are always looking for volunteers who have an interest in these areas.
Contribute an article to the quarterly newsletter
If you have always wanted to have your work published, here is your chance! We encourage local practitioners to share their knowledge or experience with the membership through the quarterly newsletter. We are happy to guide you through the process.
Provide input on workshop and program development
We need people to assist with workshop development and material review. They may advise on or create content, review material as it is produced or sit in on the pilot offering of the workshop.
