This course will focus on both Sources and Uses of Funds, with some detailed information on DCC funding. Participants will discuss the primary municipal revenue sources, with the exception of property taxation (which is addressed in a separate program), and review the broad expenditure powers and restrictions.
To objective of this course is to provide participants with a thorough understanding of the available revenue sources and the allowable uses of these sources in relation to current legislation requirements and restrictions.

This workshop is intended for finance practitioners who are responsible for or participate in the budget process of their organization, as well as Finance Managers or Project Managers who have budget authority for local government spending.
