Dr. Enid Slack is the Director of the Institute on Municipal Finance and Governance (IMFG) at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto. The IMFG focuses on the fiscal health and governance challenges facing large cities and city-regions.

Chris Morrill serves as the Executive Director/CEO of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the US & Canada. He served from 2010 to 2017 as city manager of the City of Roanoke, VA. Previously Chris served as the Assistant City Manager and Budget Director for the City of Savannah, GA and as a budget analyst for Catawba County, NC.

GFOABC welcomes all guests to kick-off the 2019 Annual Conference at Steamship Grill & Bar to celebrate GFOABC's 30th anniversary with harbour views, refreshments and networking with friends old and new.

Gala Dinner

GFOABC delegates are invited to the Thursday night Gala Dinner held in the Crystal Ballroom at the Fairmont Empress Hotel May 30th. Dinner and wine are provided and a cash bar will be available.

Cocktails at 6:30pm in the Palm Court

Dinner will be served at 7:30pm in the Crystal Ballroom 

Live musical performance by Timebenders, Victoria's own premier dance band. 50 years of music, 15 costume changes, 1 great show!

Additional Gala Dinner tickets are available for sale for $100+gst online before May 27th, and at the registration desk during the conference.
