During the catastrophic Alberta wildfires, fire chief Darby Allen shot to global acclaim for guiding the 88,000 residents of Fort McMurray to safety with no loss of life—the largest evacuation in Canadian history.

A New Framework for Financial Sustainability 

Shayne is the Senior Manager of Research for GFOA US & Canada. He has authored a number of influential publications on financial planning, including his most recent book, Informed Decision-Making Through Forecasting. Engage, Align and Inspire: Leadership Through Storytelling

Since men and women first started communicating to each other in front of a fire, storytelling has been the way people make sense of the world around them. Strategic Storyteller, Bill Baker, will help your audience understand how they can use storytelling to improve the impact and uptake of their communications and, with that, their ability to lead others.

Welcome Reception  

GFOABC welcomes all guests to kick-off the 2018 Annual Conference at Sandhill Winery for a night of wine tasting and networking with friends old and new.

Gala Dinner

GFOABC delegates are invited to the Thursday night Gala Dinner held in the Okanagan Ball Room at the Delta Okangan Grand Resort May 31st. Dinner and wine are provided and a cash bar will be available.

Dinner will be served at 7:00pm in the Okanagan Ball Room
